A celebration of knowledge, growth, excellence and the beginning of new journeys in real estate

On Saturday, 19 September 2026, the Midas School of Real Estate Excellence (MSRE) marked a significant milestone as it celebrated the graduation of Cohort One of its Basic Real Estate Certification Program.

The graduation ceremony brought together the graduating students, faculty members, management, guests, family and friends to celebrate the successful completion of a transformational learning journey.

The event represented more than the presentation of certificates. It marked the beginning of a new chapter for a group of aspiring and emerging real estate professionals who had committed themselves to acquiring knowledge, developing practical skills and gaining a stronger understanding of the real estate industry.

From the Classroom to Certification

Cohort One commenced its training journey on 29 July 2026, running for eight weeks as a hybrid professional real estate certification programme.

Throughout the programme, participants were exposed to key areas of real estate practice, including real estate fundamentals, sales excellence, entrepreneurship, property investment, digital marketing, business development and practical real estate strategies.

The training was designed not merely to introduce participants to real estate but to equip them with practical knowledge they could apply in the marketplace.

The Rector and Founder

The ceremony was led by Wilfred Akhahowa, Founder and Rector of Midas School of Real Estate Excellence.

As the Rector and lead instructor, Wilfred played a central role throughout the cohort’s journey, combining classroom instruction with practical lessons drawn from real estate sales, business development and entrepreneurship.

In his capacity as Rector, he continues to champion MSRE’s vision of developing knowledgeable, ethical and high-performing real estate professionals.

His message to the graduating class centred on the responsibility that comes with knowledge: graduates are expected not simply to hold certificates, but to apply what they have learned, create value and conduct themselves professionally within the real estate industry.

The Faculty Behind the Journey

The success of Cohort One was also supported by the MSRE faculty and instructors who guided the students throughout the programme.

Among the instructors were Steve Agwo, Senior Instructor, and Gbolahan Joseph Afolabi, Senior Instructor, alongside the Rector and Lead Instructor.

Together, the facilitators brought different areas of experience and practical knowledge into the classroom, helping students understand both the principles and realities of working in real estate.

Their contribution went beyond teaching lessons. They challenged participants to think professionally, develop confidence and understand the importance of continuous learning in an ever-evolving industry.

Celebrating the Graduands

The highlight of the ceremony was undoubtedly the celebration of the MSRE Cohort One graduands.

After weeks of attending classes, completing learning activities and preparing for their final assessment, the students finally stood before family, friends, faculty and invited guests to receive recognition for their achievement.

Each graduate was called forward to receive their certificate, presented by the Founder and Rector.
